“ From the experiences of those who built the house on their plot of land, many people faces many problems—some small ones, others big ones. Those whom I know mostly faced serious problems so to choose the builder regardless a contractor or a home builder company is a kind of risk. If you choose a good builder, you get a good house otherwise your bad luck will be stuck in your memory for a life time because building a house can be done only once in many people’s life”.

Khun Wongpon Kitprachakorn, one of the owners of the beautiful house shared his impressed experience with “Droom” VIP column that he decided to have a home builder company to build his house because his old house was a row of commercial building with a very limited parking lot. Sometimes other people parked the cars in front of his building so he had no parking area. He felt bore with this kind of problem so he decided to build a new house.

I was lucky because I found a 102 sq.w.plot of land here.When the owner propose to seel,I went to have a look and I liked it. The land was in a quiet soi,good location and privacy.The shape of the land was good for Feng Sui so I decided to buy and planned to build a house on this plot of  land so we could got our house with our own parking lot.

Khun Wongpon said that his house was modern classic style which is not too modern. The size was not too big to take care of because his wife did the housework. He chose the design that had the rooms and living area suit to the numbers of his family members. When the construction was completed, he and his wife was satisfied with the house.

“ We searched the website and visited home builder fairs to find a good home builder company. We first saw no differences among the home builder companies so we just looked at the house designs that suited our land. We at last we came to PD HOUSE we met a salesperson who impressed us by his advice.
 
“The salesperson took good care of us. Because we knew not much about the construction, we knew quite little about the advantages and disadvantages and  problems of construction. The salesperson gave advice about the problems frequently occurred in construction procedures, the materials used and how to inspect the construction. Furthermore, there were various house designs to be selected to suit our land and we found one that met our need.”

However, we could not be sure that the company was really reliable because many people we knew had a  big and well known home builder company build their houses they still faced many problems such as low quality construction,the construction left unfinished and even ran away with the prepaid money.

I thought that had a home builder build a house might better than had a contractor did.I chose PD HOUS because I trusted how professional they were and they had an experienced staff, well plan construction procedure so we could follow the progress of the construction. The prefab structure they used was produced from the factory so they possessed  high standard.

“ One of my neighbors had a big home builder company build his house with cast in place structure.The beams didn’t meet the standard so they collapsed and now still needed to be fixed. When PD HOUSE built a house with prefab structure I was sure that it wouldn’t cause any problems afterwards.

When asked if there were any problems during the construction,Khun Wongpon said that he knew that every construction site there would be problems but more or less depended on the nature of each site. For his house, the problem was the work delayed but the delay was caused by the weather condition but not behind the schedule.

“When asked why didn’t he buy the house in the development project, Khun Wongpon said that the house in the project was not what he wanted.If he bought the house in the development project,he was forced to get what they had but not what he wanted. He wanted the style of the house he could involve in the design so he didn’t care if there would be  a delay.

“ We didn’t try to find a house that was totally differed from others’ but we didn’t like the houses that were the same shape and same color in all area  like those in the development project so we were not proud with the house.”

Furthermore, he said, the house in the development project was rather expensive compared with the house we built. We got the bigger house, with high quality materials and we could choose the better location if we built our own. The house in the development project was far away in the suburb area.
