A livable home does not depend on the size but can respond to the needs and lifestyle of the owner. This is indicative of the ‘Ratsami’ family home who had theirs built amidst a natural resort-like surrounding. The large home is a perfect place to reside.


          Khun Kunthida Ratsami, a Professional Senior Level Teacher at Phitsanulok kindergarten school, and Khun Somkiat Ratsami, a manager of the operation division at Muang Thai Capital Co., Ltd (Plc) told us about the background of the house. It started from planting trees on their property as they wanted a home outside the urban area. They have a house in downtown Phitsanulok but living there was uncomfortable being constantly surrounded by air and noise pollution. They wanted a second home to live in as they grow older together to enjoy the peace and quiet and clean air. 

         “When we decided to have our house built, we began looking for a builder. We talked with some building companies but they weren’t able to clarify specific items. One day we went to a building company fair where we found the PD House booth and instantly saw a design that would be perfect for us. We talked with the staff and they told us what we wanted to know so we decided to have them build our home”, added Khun Kunthida.

           The design the “Ratsami” family had chosen is the F-184, a modern style home with four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The lower level of the house is designed to be a relaxing area with a kitchen. The second and the third floor are divided into a maid’s room, living room, a dining area, a Buddha room and bedrooms. The large hall connects the entire area on each floor. The favourite corner of Khun Kunthida is the living area on the second floor where she can watch TV and read her books. Khun Somkiat enjoys the lower floor because it is close to the garden providing cool breezes.

 

       
        Khun Somkiat also added, "My daughter and wife chose the design. We requested a minor modification to gain more living area and removed the parking space on the lower level to make way for a spacious living area and kitchen. We were very impressed that we were able to make the modifications at a reasonable cost. Those who have visited us admire the beauty of our home." Khun Kunthida added, "We visited the construction site from time to time and found that the workers were doing an excellent job. The construction supervisor answered all of our questions when required. The company certainly was very good to us. We were delighted with the experience."
 

 

 

          Besides a beautiful design, the home is energy efficient and the materials used are environmentally friendly. Khun Kunthida said, "As a teacher, I teach my students to always conserve energy regardless of a home’s design. I teach them to conserve energy whenever possible, which I do as well. Though we installed air conditioning, most of the time we only use fans or open the windows."

 
 

          Time of happiness for some people is rather short but the happiness for the “Ratsami” family has just begun. It will last forever in this home, the home that was built with careful attention to detail at every step of construction.
