Wat Phra Si Mahathat Wora Mahawihan or locally called “Wat Yai” is a royal temple and regarded the most important temple in the city.Many people and tourists come to visit and pay homage to Phra Buddha Chinnarat which was housed in the temple.The Buddha image was built in the reign of Phra Maha Thammaracha I (Phaya Li Thai).It is considered the most beautiful Buddha image in the country,

Chula Mani Temple
“Wat Chula Mani” is one of the old temples in Phitsanulok.It is believed that the place where the temple is situated was once the location of the old city of Phitsanulok.The temple was built in the reign of Phra Borom Trailokanat of Ayutthaya and he ordained as a monk and stayed at the temple.There is also an old “Vihan”which is the style of Ayutthaya era, Many archaeological sites and antiquities such as “Simulated Buddha Footprint”,”Stone Inscription”are also displayed in the temple.Wat Chulamani is an old ,priceless and important for the people in Phitsanulok.

Chattrakan Waterfall National Park
Chattrakan Waterfall National Park is one of the large national parks in Thailand.It encompasses the area of more than 300,000 rais which cover Nakhonthai and Chattrakan district.The forest in the park is fertile and there is a beautiful waterfall that you don’t miss called Chattrakan waterfall or locally known “Pak-Rang Waterfall”.It has 7 levels and each has its own different beauty.Each level is named after the daughters of King Samon in Thai literature—Sang Thong.The first level is the most favorite because there is a big pond in which we can swim. It is the ‘Don’t Miss’place for those who love nature. Besides waterfall, there are cliffs good for taking photos and there are also accommodations for those who want to stay overnight.

Phu Hin Rongkla National Park
Phu Hin Rongkla national park is one of the natural tourist attractions in the country. It is popular in the winter season. The park covers the area of nearly 200,000 rais. It mainly situates in Phitsanulok and extends to nearby provinces like Leoi and Phetchaboon. Besides its shady and quiet atmosphere, the park has many tourist attractions. There are natural tracks that lead you to Lan Hin Teak, Lan Hin Pum, Pha Chu Thong— the view checking point. There is also a political and military school of the former Communist party camps nearby. The park is a don’t miss place for those who love the cold weather,

Thung Salaeng Luang National Park
Thung Slaeng Luang national park is the third largest park in the country. It covers the area of nearly 800,000 rais in Phisanulok and Phetchaboon provinces. The park is one of the few in the country with big savannah grassland spread all over the park. The forest there is still fertile and full of wild flowers. There is also a beautiful waterfall that good for relaxing. It is good for cold weather lover in the cold season and rain lover in the rainy reason.
