Khun  Nawarat  Sisamutkam told us about the background of the house that there are 4 family members in the house. They are Khun Nawarat—a lady from Muksahan--the mother, Khun Teerasak—a man from Chiang Mai—the father and 2 children. The elder child—the daughter—is studying in a high school in Japan and the younger child—the son—is studying in a demonstration school  in Khon Kaen. The family is the owner of the ice plant which has been in the business for 10 years. They expanded to 8 plants now and the 9th plant will be open soon in the name of “Kitwaree” group.

           Wading through hard work a for a long time, they planned to build a beautiful house for their family but they wanted the house and the plant to be in the same area so they built a 2 storey and a half house in the 3 rai plot of land where the ice plant located.

          “At that time we have already had a drawing which was designed to have the full utility area so all the bedrooms of the family members are on the same floor so we can meet each other every day.”

          Khun Nawarat disclosed that at first she thought of the local contractor to build her house but when she rethought about this she knew that the local contractor was not professional compare to a home builder company. She then searched the website and found out that PD House has an office in Khon Kaen so she brought her house design to talk with PD.

          “Through a study we know that a home builder company operate a full cycle service from the beginning of the construction until the end and they also provide after sale service . This is the main difference between a local contractor and a home builder company. Furthermore, some local contractors left the work unfinished and we couldn’t track them to take responsibilities of what they had done. After talking with PD House, we were sure that PD could look after us and we also knew that they had many designs for us to choose but we had our own design and PD agree to follow our design.”

          The living area of the house is about 400 square meters with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, living room and a library .The living room is the favorite corner of all family members because it is airy and wide enough for any activities for both family members and visiting gueats. For Khun Nawarat, her favorite is the library because it is a quiet corner. The house responses to the needs of all family members.

          Khun Nawarat left the message to those who plan to build the house that whoever can build a house but for the details of the work and standard quality can be done by a professional builder.Our dream house may not come true if we choose the wrong builder from the beginning so to choose the builder plays an important role in building a house.
